Feel the magic: Story-led adventure play brand Timbalaya to debut at IAAPA

Timbalaya, a brand new storytelling brand for children’s play attractions, has announced its launch at the IAAPA expo in Orlando, Florida.

The original Timbalaya IP builds a completely immersive themed world of imagination, exploration and magic, targeted at the outdoor family entertainment market. Storytelling and the natural world outside are central to the Timbalaya ethos of encouraging outdoor play and physical and creative activity.

Each Timbalaya play area is custom designed, so every one will be different, according to the company. The installations are designed for children under 11, and are also designed to be accessible to children with disabilities.

A Timbalaya attraction can feature climbing structures, water, forests, towers, castles, mazes and enchanted houses, while riddles, challenges and goals enhance the child’s experience.

Timbalaya’s representatives hope to appeal to mid-level family attractions as a franchise/licensing opportunity. Operator investment is expected to be in the region of US$5m, and Timbalaya is offered as a turnkey solution or design and build ready to open in 2017.

The adventure story of Timbalaya was devised by writer Georgina Parfitt and illustrator Louise Prentice, putting narrative at the centre of the IP.

IAAPA attendees can meet the Timbalaya team at booth #2075.

IAAPA takes place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, from 16-20 November.
